“Never doubt what a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can do to change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has”

-Margaret Mead

The BMGA Foundation is the primary philanthropic arm of BMGA Enterprise Limited (BMGA). The Foundation’s work is guided by its mission to encourage inclusivity and gender balance in the business environment. Our commitment to the transformation of organizations and business professionals is further augmented through the work we do at the Foundation, which is focused on the upliftment of women and the narrowing of the gender skills gap in society. We understand that these pose a challenge to the social, economic, and political development of Africa, which is why we take pride in our partnerships with other NGOs and organizations that are aligned with our mission.

Some of our work includes specialized capacity building programs geared toward the development of young African women such as the BMGA Fellows Program, Gender Mainstreaming advocacy in the private sector etc.

BMGA Foundation’s goal is to address challenges that limit African women from being active contributors to the GDP of Africa. We believe that investing in women for a gender-balanced society translates to investing in strong and sustainable economies.

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

BMGA is dedicated to the actualization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With particular focus on SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 5: Gender Equality and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, we aim to drive the process of transforming the economic and social landscape of enterprises, corporations, and nations. Regarding Quality Education, BMGA has deployed various learning programs using the three primary learning styles that promote high retention and recall of information. This way, individuals have been equipped with necessary soft skills via modern technological tools and resources.

With respect to Gender Equality, BMGA is focused on investing in human capital, creating economic opportunities, leveraging technology, and shaping attitudes through the BMGA Fellows Program to ensure that African countries seize the economic benefits of empowering women.

Finally, through custom-made learning resources that fit specific situations within Africa, we have provided the opportunity for Africans to improve on their work productivity which has yielded positive results in employability and economic growth.

At BMGA, we care about people and the community.
