Job Description:


We are looking for an Operations Director to be responsible for the day to day management and overseeing all operational activities/aspects of the company to ensure work is done effectively and efficiently. The Operations Director will be responsible for setting strategic goals, implementing departments strategies, and for the flow of operations information to the MD and the board. This position also involves leading the BMGA’s overall strategic decisions and ensuring that the BMGA team is working in accordance with such goals.


We are seeking a highly motivated, senior level individual to lead the BMGA team as an Operations Director. The Operations Director will work closely with the MD and board members to successfully lead and supervise the growing team and implement initiatives that result in achieving the mission and vision of BMGA. The candidate should have senior-level management experience.

Job Summary:


The Operations Director will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s success. Core duties will include administering organizational activities, set BMGA business strategies, supervise all entry and mid level team members/employees, delegate tasks for team members, and recruit new team members. The position involves striving to maintain BMGA’s professional customs and standards, enforcing ethical practices, meeting BMGA’s fiscal targets and managing the company’s budgets. 


The Operation Director is expected to work independently as BMGA operates a remote team. 


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the BMGA’s corporate strategy.
  • Direct and oversee all entry and mid level employees in the operations of their duties.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiencies.
  • Delegate job assignments for all team members.
  • Analyze, review, and develop BMGA’s business strategies.
  • Hire proficient employees.
  • Protect the organization’s repute and principles.
  • Strategically grow the BMGA brand.
  • Administrative duties including day to day management of the company’s activities.
  • Other duties related to the development and management of the company’s brand.


  • Targeted at senior level professionals with over ten (10) years work experience in the education technology field.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; with over 10 years work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, lead startup team and take initiative.
  • Experience with company administration role is an advantage.
  • Ability to translate complex research into a common organizational language.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Grace under pressure and meeting deadlines with an ability to navigate ambiguous situations or directions by asking thoughtful and meaningful questions.
  • Comfortable leading a startup team as well as acting independently in the implementation of specific tasks, multitasking and prioritizing.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, comfortably, and professionally with all internal and external clients at all levels of the organization. This is important as this role will involve professional communication with external clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly grasp the range of complex issues and multi-task across a range of workstreams/projects with constantly shifting priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously with high-quality standards and attention to detail.
  • Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to lead, work, and communicate with a diverse group of people of various nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
  • Fluency in the English language.
  • Sense of humour and ability to laugh as a team is a must.
  • Experience with global and international organizations is a plus.
